Seana Bhraigh is one of the most remote mountains in Scotland, about 20km in every direction to the nearest road. It’s way up north in Easter Ross.
Me and two friends spent the last 4 days hiking in the area and climbing it’s mountains. We stayed in Glenbeg bothy, a small stone cottage, unlocked and open for hikers to use… if they can find it and make the effort to get there. We carried in 30kg of coal to keep us warm.
It was pretty cold over night. Clear stary skies led to a hard frost, -10c. The weather was great: no wind, clear skies and great visibility. The low sun in December makes for some beautiful shadows and light. Here are some of my favourite photos.
Wonderful pictures!
Thank you. Easter Ross is a wonderful place, the views in every direction were amazing.
