The Lake District is a fantastic place for Gold Expeditions, with beautiful scenery, lots of campsites and miles and miles of paths that criss-cross the landscape, giving plenty of options for an expedition group to plan a route that suites them.
In 2019 our Lake District Gold Qualifying Expedition will be on these dates:
- 31 July to 4 August 2019
The 31st of July is a travel day. Participants need to be at the agreed meeting point at 3:30pm (e.g. Keswick, Penrith or Windemere depending on the route you choose). Pick-up by minibus will be available from the Central Belt of Scotland around midday on the 31st of July.
The rest of the day on the 31st of July will be spent getting ready: checking equipment, tweaking your meal plans, finalising your expedition aim. On the 1st of August the expedition begins. All of the camping will be on serviced campsites.
The expedition route will be up to you to decide. You will be given lots of support on advice on where you can go and what campsites to use.
The cost of the expedition is £225 per person and this includes:
- Campsite fees
- Minibus transfer from the Central Belt of Scotland and agreed meeting point in the Lake District (e.g. Keswick, Penrith, Windemere) return
- Use of Tents, stoves, gas cannisters and rucksack covers
- Expedition supervision and assessment
- Pre-expedition support to plan your route and agree your expedition aim with your exped team
