I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it very interesting. I loved learning about different tinders and plants. It was great to get to explore these and have a chance to build our own fire.

Alastair is a first rate and very experienced outdoor guide and leader. My family and I were preparing to climb Kilimanjaro and that included our 14 year old daughter. Our success in getting to the summit of the world,’s tallest free standing mountain was in no small part due to Alastair excellent route choices and advice over the 5 days we spent with him immediately before travelling to Africa.
