Spend a half day exploring the beautiful islands on Loch Lomond, from Luss. The islands of Inchmoan, Inchtavannach, Inchconnachan and Inchcruin are easily accessible and provide an introductory canoe experience, suitable for families. The islands are covered in ancient oak woodland, there are ruined castles and lovely beaches to explore.
A wonderful journey is to combine canoeing and hillwalking in an ascent of Suilven, an iconic mountain in Assynt. This is a two day journey involving a half day of canoeing, the ascent of Suilven, an overnight wildcamp, then return canoe journey.
