The expedition begins in the small village of Weem. From there, the route goes along the river Tay, then up onto a plateau comprising heather moorland. The second day goes south to Aberfeldy, then through a forest to Loch Kennard. The third day of the expedition goes south towards the river Braan, near Dunkeld. The expedition start point is Weem Church car park, and the end point is Rumbling Bridge car park.
